Turners & Growers has launched a new website to promote its Enza kiwifruit varieties,Enzakiwi.com, according to a company press release.

This site, which will be regularly updated, will include profiles on each of Enza's kiwifruit varieties, and will be kept updated with research and nutritional information.

The company's marketing manager, Campbell Naish, said the new varieties were expanding the appeal of kiwifruit around the world and that the website is part of a global campaign to grow the kiwifruit category.

'Kiwifruit currently only represents between a quarter and a half of one per cent of the global fruit bowl, but there has been huge international interest in Enza's new varieties so we've launched this site to educate global consumers and retailers on the fruit,' said Mr Naish.

He said Enza's new varieties would appeal to new markets, including the US and Europe, adding that the company looked forward to growing its business in those markets with the aid of the Enzakiwi site.

The launch of the new website comes as the company prepares to put all its varieties on show at the upcoming Asia Fruit Logistica trade show, one of the world's leading trade fairs for the international fresh fruit and vegetable market, in Hong Kong from 8-10 September.
