Join thought leaders from across the fresh produce supply chain in Lima on 28-29 October
With less than a month to go, the stage is set for leading growers, exporters, importers and marketers to explore new opportunities for Latin American produce in Asia and beyond at the inaugural Asia Fruit Logistica Meet Up in Peru, which takes place on 28-29 October at the Swissotel in Lima.
Fresh opportunities in old and new markets
Latin America is now a global produce powerhouse, thanks to a surge in investment in new varieties, logistics infrastructure and groundbreaking technologies.
As part of the high-quality content programme, curated by Fruitnet and the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), Gabriel Noboa of Agrícola Don Ricardo and Diego Vásquez of Westfalia Fruit join Hortifrut to share their insights into how innovation is driving growth in three of the region’s biggest categories: grapes, avocados and berries.
Juan Juwon Sul of South Korean importer Latida and Riley Wang of Shanghai Supafresh Trading join a line-up of top-level Asian speakers to give their perspective on what consumers in key Asian markets are looking for, while Vanguard’s Dirk Winelmann and Manuel Tornel of Spain’s Imida-Itum explore ways to increase sales in mature markets like Europe and the US.
Tech transformation
With pressure to deliver fresher, more consistent fruit to distant markets, the conference showcases the latest developments in breeding, packaging and sorting and grading that are helping Latin American growers to compete on the world stage with Sun World’s Pablo Ramirez, Patricio Rebolledo of Paclife and Unitec’s Nour Abdrabbo.
And Arturo Vera of Lima Airport Partners joins an expert panel to discuss how improved transport links are making global markets more accessible than ever for the region’s suppliers.
Unparalleled knowledge sharing and networking
The Peru Meet Up combines specialist content with ample time to network and build business connections in a relaxed setting. These include round tables where local producers can meet with buyers from Asia and beyond, a business networking luncheon, two networking breaks and an evening cocktail reception.
