Latin America’s fresh produce suppliers connect with global buyers at two-day networking and knowledge-sharing event – trade visitor and sponsorship registration now open
Asia Fruit Logistica Peru Meet-Up comes to Lima for the first time on 28-29 October 2025 to showcase Latin America’s fresh produce export offer to key buyers from Asia and around the world.
Organised by Asia Fruit Logistica in partnership with Fruit Logistica, the event brings together fresh produce professionals from across Latin America and beyond for two days of high-level discussion and networking on how to boost trade between Latin America and Asia. A cutting-edge programme curated by Fruitnet and the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) features insightful presentations and panel discussions on the current trade climate, technical and logistical innovations powering improvements in fruit quality, and the latest market trends.
Latin America has emerged as a powerhouse in the global fruit and vegetable sector, successfully exporting a diverse range of fresh fruits to Asian markets. But escalating trade tensions are creating an increasingly challenging environment for exporters.
Day one of the Peru Meet-Up brings together representatives from the main Latam producing countries to discuss how to navigate today’s trade turbulence. With a strong focus on innovation, the programme takes an in-depth look at how varietal development and better logistics are driving improvements in key categories including berries, grapes and avocados.
In the first of two market-led sessions, buyers from Asia’s biggest consumer markets share their insights on how to capitalise on growing demand for premium fresh fruit through more effective branding and promotion, while the second looks at ways to increase sales in mature markets like Europe and the US.
With growers under pressure to deliver high-quality, export-grade fruit to all markets, a technology-driven session showcases some the latest developments in breeding, precision agriculture, post-harvest and sorting and grading.
The first day ends with a spotlight on sustainability, looking at the big environmental challenges facing producers, from climate change, water scarcity and pesticides to packaging.
Day two of the Peru Meet-Up is all about logistics. It kicks off with a session on how major new infrastructure projects such as the new megaport at Chancay are set to enhance connectivity with global markets, cutting shipping times, improving efficiency, and boosting export capacity. This is followed by a session titled ‘The supply chain of the future’, in which logistics experts discuss how collaboration can make supply chains even faster, more efficient and more sustainable.
The event ends with a panel discussion of leading industry figures discussing key takeaways from the conference and the future direction of the industry.
Hosted at the prestigious Swissotel Lima, the Peru Meet-Up is supported by regional partners including PromPeru, Abrafrutas, Corpei, ProEcuador, ProColombia and the Banana Cluster from Ecuador, alongside China’s leading wholesale markets, Guangzhou Jiangnan and Shanghai Huizhan.
