Bangkok event attracts strong international attendance for final Meet Up before Asia Fruit Logistica’s highly anticipated return to Hong Kong
Asia Fruit Logistica Thailand Meet Up welcomed some 250 industry professionals from around 20 different countries in Bangkok on 25 June for a day of business networking and knowledge sharing.
Attendees enjoyed a day of illuminating talks and insights from industry leaders, high-quality networking, and a variety of showcases focused on South-East Asia’s dynamic and fast-evolving fresh produce trade.
The event marked the final Meet Up in the lead-up to Asia Fruit Logistica 2025.
The programme – curated by Asia Fruit Logistica’s Knowledge Partner, Asiafruit Magazine – featured a range of high-profile speakers as well as a statistical snapshot of trends in fresh produce trade across key ASEAN markets.
The Thailand Meet Up also included a showcase where sponsors and partners displayed their products and services, including AgroFresh, Fruit Logistica, Fruitnet, Guangzhou Artry Packaging, PromPeru and South African Apples.
The Meet Up wrapped up on 26 June with an immersive study tour, taking participants behind the scenes at City Fresh Fruit – one of Thailand’s top fresh fruit importers – and on to Talaad Thai, South East Asia’s largest agri-wholesale market, where they gained first-hand insights into the region’s fast-evolving fresh produce landscape.
Meet Up series builds momentum
The Thailand Meet Up was the last stop in Asia Fruit Logistica’s series of Meet Ups in key markets around the world before the premier trade show returns to Hong Kong on 3-5 September 2025.
The Meet Ups kicked off in late October last year with the ‘Summit in Chile’, hosted together with Fruit Logistica and Fruitnet in Santiago. Mumbai was the next stop in early April this year for Fresh Produce India, organised by Fruitnet. The roadshow then headed to Ho Chi Minh City in mid-May for Fresh Produce Vietnam, Fruitnet’s brand-new event focused on fast-evolving Vietnam market. And it culminated with the Thailand Meet Up in Bangkok, paving the way to Asia Fruit Logistica.
This year’s Asia Fruit Logistica Meet Ups have already brought together almost 70 leading speakers to share their expert insights across four key markets, attracting close to 1,000 high-quality industry professionals.
“We are delighted with the growing momentum of our Meet Ups around the world,” said David Axiotis, managing director of Asia Fruit Logistica organiser Global Produce Events.
“These events provide a unique platform and create different touchpoints for local and regional industries to connect, interact and share knowledge. They deepen our reach in key markets, and they set us firmly on course for an even more dynamic edition of Asia Fruit Logistica this September in Hong Kong.”
