Aldi UK has announced it will again cut prices on a wide range of fresh vegetables in the run-up to Christmas.

Starting 18 December, the group said it would price a number of different veg lines at just 8p as part of its Christmas Super Six promotion.

Pointing out is has been named Christmas Retailer of the Year for six years in a row, the retailer said was “making it easy for families to enjoy a delicious and affordable Christmas dinner with these fantastic price cuts”.

Products included in the 8p promotion include white potatoes (2kg), carrots (1kg), parsnips (500g), and Brussels sprouts (500g), as well as individually priced red cabbage, white cabbage, and swede.

Aldi said it had partnered with British growers to supply these, and used fixed-cost pricing to ensure they receive a fair price, regardless of the season.

“This commitment allows Aldi to offer shoppers the best savings without compromising on quality or fairness,” it added.
