Jazz handed out 40,000 slices of apple at the Great Yorkshire Show on 14-17 July as the brand’s sampling van continues a summer tour to mark the variety’s 20th anniversary in Britain.

The annual show in Harrogate, which attracts more than 140,000 visitors across four days, celebrates the best of British agriculture, food and innovation.

Jazz said the event ties into the brand’s commitment to support and promote British farming.

The Jazz team handed out samples produced by Kent growers Robert Hinge and David Figgis, as well as organising various giveaways and competitions on the stand.

Hannah McIlfatrick, Worldwide Fruit’s commercial director, said: “Our consumer sampling activations form an important part of our marketing campaigns and even more so with 2026 being the 20th year of Jazz apples being grown in Britain.

“We want to increase our reach each year and put Jazz in the hands of those who maybe still haven’t tried them, and events such as the Great Yorkshire Show are a fantastic way to do this.”

The sampling van embarked on its tour earlier in the summer as part of ongoing anniversary celebrations, beginning at Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm-Fest on 22-24 May.

The van will also make an appearance at the Great British Food Festival on 15-17 August at Wentworth Woodhouse in South Yorkshire.
