An established supplier of exotic fruit and vegetables is seeking a UK-based sales and procurement manager to join its expanding team
The role
Full-time fresh produce sales and procurement manager based in the UK. Hybrid working is possible.
The company
The business, which prefers to remain unnamed in this advert, is a long-established importer of fresh produce with a focus on high-quality, in-demand lines. Its core products are exotic fruit and vegetables.
The importer’s aim is not only to strengthen its current lines, but also to expand with complementary products such as butternut squash, sugar snap peas, mangetout, Tenderstem broccoli, baby corn, chillies, and exotic fruits like passion fruit, guava and dragon fruit.
The company is seeking a driven sales and procurement professional with strong links to UK wholesale/foodservice and retail. The successful candidate will help grow the importer’s presence across multiple categories.
The ideal candidate
- Proven experience in fresh produce and drive to develop new lines
- Contacts in wholesale, foodservice and retail, with the ability to manage these relationships
- Knowledge of exotics or specialist lines
- Commercially driven and confident in procurement, with a strong existing supply network
