According to Superpanel (TNS), the stonefruit sector accounts for 8.9 per cent of the fruit market in value terms in the latest year, a decline from the 9.4 per cent market share in the previous year. The stonefruit sector is worth £296 million on a 52-week ending basis, and has remained static despite a shortage in supply and diminishing volume sales.
