Australian Day came early for a number of the country’s fresh produce industries, who took the opportunity to showcase their offerings at a special event in South Korea last week.

Over 1,200 guests attended the 2017 Australia Day event hosted by the Australian Embassy in Seoul on 12 January 2017.

Almonds, R2E2 mangoes and Gobble’s organic dried vine fruit were among the fresh produce on display at the event’s Taste Australia stand, which also featured a selection of Australian wines, lamingtons and Australian beef and lamb.

An awards ceremony launched the evening’s proceedings, with leading mango exporter Manbulloo receiving the 2016 AustCham Korea Business Award for excellence in the food and beverages category. The awards recognised companies that have contributed to further developing the Australia-Korea business relationship.
