The Australian government has granted the Philippines A$10.6m for two programmes to improve the domestic profitability and export competitiveness of selected vegetables and fruits planted in the southern part of the country. The funds form part of Australia’s A$104.7m package to the country for the 2008-2009 fiscal year.
