Do you fancy working in the fast-moving international media sales business for a global publisher of industry-leading food magazines?

Market Intelligence is the world’s leading provider of information for the international fresh fruit and vegetable sector. This is a fascinating, fast-moving sector where you will have daily interaction with senior executives in the fresh produce supply chain including leading growers, importers, traders, manufacturers, supermarket buyers, and others connected to the vital business of fresh food supply.

It's an exciting time for the company: we have recently revamped our websites and news services to bring the most up-to-date news and information to our many thousands of readers around the world. Our suite of products features the full range of print and digital publications (including market-leading titles the Fresh Produce Journal, Eurofruit and Asiafruit), as well as a series of high-profile business conferences in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

We are looking for two highly motivated sales executives to join our team to sell advertising and sponsorships for our business magazines, new websites and international conference events.

The successful applicants will ideally have some sales experience, the ability to work under pressure to meet key sales targets, and be a good team player. The position is ideal for a second jobber or motivated graduate with a passion for selling, both on the phone and in person.

Knowledge of the fresh produce or food industry is useful but not essential. In any case the successful candidate is expected quickly to build up a book of key contacts, be confident picking up the phone to speak to our clientbase, and to work with our customers face-to-face at our international business conferences and events.

A second language is an advantage due to the international nature of the fresh produce business.

In return we can offer a competitive salary and commission structure (basic +/-£22k, OTE £30k+), ample opportunity for international travel, the chance to be a part of a friendly and lively team, and a convenient office location close to Vauxhall station in London. Benefits include pension as well as discounted gym membership at one of London’s premier sports centres. There is the opportunity for progression within the company for the right candidate.

Please address your CV and cover letter, stating your salary expectations and availability, to FPJ advertising manager Gulay Cetin (gulay@fpj.co.uk) and editor Michael Barker (michael@fpj.co.uk). For more information on our business visit www.fruitnet.com.
