Chile will trial a new kiwifruit variety, according tot he Chilean Fresh Fruit Association - Europe. The new variety, Actimidia arguta has been developed by HortResearch in New Zealand where it is cropped from late February to early March. The diminutive new fruit is only the size of a grape and is sweet, green and skinless. It can be eaten in its entirety with no need for peeling.
