David Jones replaces Ivor Llewelyn as head of the ministry of agriculture's horticulture and potatoes division on May 1. Jones will be attending the 13th agm of the British Independent Fruit Growers Association, which is to be held at Brattle Farm Museum, Staplehurst, Kent, on June 13. The event will feature a visit to a Kent fruit farm, and talks by authors of some recently published books dealing with fruit related topics.
