The joint Brassica Growers Association, Horticultural Development Council and Horticulture Research International brassica conference scheduled for January 16, 2002 will address several topics not previously featured on the agenda at a grower forum. Growers will have the opportunity to hear about the latest research and development work and to talk with funding agencies and scientists about the future research needs of the industry.

Issues covered include cauliflower scheduling, viruses in internal storage disorders of white cabbage, controlling disease in organic transplants, mechanical harvesting, brassica promotion, spore detection of brassica diseases and cabbage root fly, flea beetle and slug control.

There will also be some exhibition stands taken by suppliers to the brassicas sector.
