Dring began growing daffodils and tulips in the 1920s and has since created the marketing company FloraLinc Ltd with the aid of a Defra processing and marketing grant. Dring will be FloraLinc's main supplier, although it hopes that with the support of other growers the company will be able to ensure continuity of supply.

Dring's managing director, Richard Barlow (pictured), added that annual flower production for the company each year tops 1 million bunches of daffodils, 1m bunches of Doris pinks, more than 2.5m stems of gladioli, and 100,000 bunches of sweet Williams, among others.
