The Meech jet stream system aims to provide a drying solution for vegetables

Meech Air Technology has developed a drying system, which aims to improve the business of suppliers of prepared vegetables to UK supermarkets.

Suppliers are often faced with processing issues. Washing carrots naturally wets the leaves, which if not dried correctly can leave them limp and slimy. The conventional approach to this problem is to shake the bunches of carrots by hand before packing ñ but this is time-consuming and prone to human error.

Meech's Jet Stream System aims to tackle these issues. The fan-driven system can be installed over vegetable processing lines. The stream of air dries the vegetables without damage. The system can also be used for prepared carrots in both baton and shredded forms.
