Global trends on the agenda at asparagus get together

The fifth European Asparagus Forum will take place in Bologna, Italy, on March 1-2, 2004.

The two-day event covers a diverse range of topics including:

• analysis of global production, sales and consumption trends, past, present and future

• a look at technological evolution and the cost of logistics on the asparagus supply chain

• the role of research and innovation in the enhancement of product and service quality

The second day will be rounded off with a round-table discussion with representatives of producers, handlers, retailers and wholesalers of asparagus.
