Amanda Holden

Amanda poses with fans at the signing

Amanda Holden used the unconventional setting of a fruit and vegetable shop to promote her new autobiography.

The actress and former Britain's Got Talent judge made her way to the small Hampshire town of Bishop's Waltham to take part in a book signing.

It is the town Holden grew up in, and to increase the nostalgia, she chose the Hylands fruit and veg shop where she worked as a teenager as the signing location.

She told The Daily Express: 'I was a Saturday girl at Hylands from 13 to 16, and it smells just the same.

'It's been lovely. I have seen so many friends, including a family I used to babysit for.'
