ARTIS is a three-year project which offers technical training to arable, salad, vegetable and fruit farmers and growers in England. The project will be delivered by NIAB, G’s Growers, LANTRA and East Malling Research.

The project focus is to improve technical competencies which lead to an immediate impact upon sustainability and profitability. The full-time positions shown below are available. Candidates with technical backgrounds relevant to vegetable and salad crop production are particularly welcome. A flexible approach to employment is possible and expressions of interest are encouraged.

Technical Research Reviewer/Programme Leader

Responsible to the project board for the technical development and organisation of the ARTIS programme. You will lead project staff and research experts to develop the technical content of ARTIS Academies and a high-quality series of online training products.

Starting salary £35,394 - £39,327 dependant on skills, experience and qualifications. Ref: T/273

Technical Writer

Co-ordinate and translate information from a variety of sources into training products for a national training project. The content will focus on Crop management issues across a range of combinable, fruit, vegetables and salad crops for delivery in the field and online.
