Raspberries

British raspberries are on course to be available at Christmas.

Anthony Thorne, who farms in Credition, Devon, told the Western Morning News his bumper crop of raspberries shows no sign of slowing, and are on course to keep fruiting into December.

He added that he'd never known soft fruit grow so late in the year: 'It's usually finished by November, but we're still picking 15 to 20 kilos of raspberries a day,' he told the newspaper.

'Our strawberries finished last week, which was very late too, and it looks like the raspberries will go into December. I've never known them so late before.'
