Potato supplier Branston has named George Christoudias as its new sales and marketing director, following the promotion of James Truscott to managing director.

Truscott, who replaceslong-serving incumbent Graeme Beattie, is set to start his new position on 2 May.

Christoudias, who started in the role yesterday (23 March), joins after three years as commercial and NPD controller at prepared food giant Bakkavor.

He has also worked at Produce World and Buckingham Foods in the past.

“Itʼs an exciting opportunity – both to be joining Branston, and also re-entering the fresh produce category,” Christoudias said.

“Branston is a highly regarded business within the sector and I am looking forward to working with the experienced and talented team there to achieve our further growth potential.”

Truscott, who takes over from the long-serving Graeme Beattie, added: “We are looking forward to George joining the business. Itʼs a very busy time of transition, and one that is exciting in terms of future plans.

“His vast experience and knowledge of produce retail operations will help us grow and develop within our existing customer base whilst exploring other potential areas of expansion.”
