Rocket Science

The Rocket Science project is supported by Tozer Seeds

Seeds supplier Tozer Seeds is part of a project to launch two kilograms of rocket seeds into space.

Aptly named Rocket Science, the project is being run by the Royal Horticultural Society and the UK Space Agency. It aims to give around half a million UK children the chance to learn how science in space contributes to knowledge of life on earth.

After several months at the International Space Station, the seeds will return to earth in spring 2016. School children are then being invited to help with experiments to find out what affect being in space has had on the seeds.

British astronaut Tim Peake said the idea is for children to compare growth with normal plants.
