Albert Bartlett ad still

A still from one of the adverts, starring Penny and Anne

Albert Bartlett is investing £3 million in a new marketing campaign, involving television adverts directed by Green Wing and Smack The Pony creator Victoria Pile.

The latest commercials, which are on air as of yesterday (9 November) until Christmas, were created by ad agency Holmes Hobbs Marcantonio.

'Girl Talk' features Albert Bartlett Rooster Homestyle Chips, while 'Check out the Roasts' introduces Albert Bartlett Rooster Roast Potatoes. They introduce two new supermarket shopper characters, Penny and Anne.

Albert Bartlett is also continuing its Michel Roux Jr and Andrew Fairlie campaign for its fresh potatoes, and has updated the end frames of each ad to show new packaging for both the Albert Bartlett Rooster and the new Albert Bartlett Elfe potatoes.

The brand will also be airing a new commercial 'Peeling off to the Factory', which reveals Michel Roux Jr’s long relationship with the potato, and features site shots on the Albert Bartlett production line. These ads are currently on air for two weeks, during which it is believed 51 per cent of their audience across the UK will see the advert on average three times.

From 16 November, Albert Bartlett will switch to showing its brand new frozen potato campaign, before 'fresh' adverts return in December for the Christmas run-up.The new frozen commercials were produced by Sneezing Tree productions and directed by the award-winning TV comedy director Pile.
