Potato giant Greenvale has promoted Leon Mundey to director of marketing.

Mundey, who joined the company in 2011, will now have overall responsibility for all Greenvale’s marketing and category management, alongside initiatives for parent company Produce Investments.

In the past he has worked as marketing manager at herb supplier Vitacress and product manager at drinks firm Britvic.

Chief executive Angus Armstrong said: “I am delighted to welcome Leon to the Greenvale board. His appointment not only ensures that we maintain our focus on driving category growth for our customers, but it also strengthens the leadership team of the company.”

Mundey said Greenvale has cemented its position as a leading supplier in fresh potatoes and the company is now looking to build its category offering. “I look forward to continuing my work with the team at Greenvale and at Produce Investments,” he said.
