A team from fresh produce logistics firm Fresh Service has raised almost £2,000 for the local hospital cancer research fund following a sponsored walk.
The five-mile circuit began at Darenth Valley Hospital and circled Darenth Valley Country Park, before finishing back at the hospital. The team wore pink hi-vis jackets and headbands with pieces of fruit on. Oranges were supplied by Capespan as refreshments during the day.
The cancer fund was chosen as a fundraising recipient as one the Fresh Service team is in recovery from treatment and “doing well”.
