Flavor King supperclub

The Flavor King season has kicked off with a supper club and consumer giveaway

A gift box with the first of the new season South African Flavor King plum has been sent to several hundred Marks & Spencer loyalty card holders.

The giveaway was designed to mark the start of the short Flavor King season, which runs for around six weeks, and encourage consumers to pick up the plum-apricot hybrid, known as a pluot.

A supper club held in north London yesterday (23 Feb) also celebrated the start of the season, and was attended by food bloggers, journalists, suppliers and the M&S stonefruit team, as one of the first retailers to stock Flavor King around 15 years ago.

It was hosted by chef and food write Kerstin Rodgers, who blogs as Ms Marmite Lover, and featured a range of courses and dishes using Flavor King as an ingredients.
