South-east Queensland was swept by storms on Saturday and Sunday which destroyed fruit crops in the Childers area around Bundaberg.
Strong winds uprooted whole trees and there was localised hail in some areas.
Mangoes and lychees have been particularly hard hit with fruit ripped from trees and dumped on the ground.
Earliest production zones are reporting a good quality crop this year
