More Thai durian could be headed to Australia

The fresh produce trade appears to have been a topic of conversation during Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s recent trip to Australia.

Indonesian newspaper the Pattaya Mail reported that during the two day trip Australian officials asked that Thailand remove trade barriers preventing exports of the country’s stonefruit.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s Department of International Trade and Promotion has signed an MoU with Australia’s largest retailer Woolworths to collaborate on promotions of Thai produce, such as coconuts and durian.
