A strong crop set to support CMI’s consumer marketing programmes
Washington apple season has officially begun, and CMI Orchards is primed to support its customers with an ample supply of high-quality fruit, a diverse lineup of varieties, and innovative consumer marketing programmes designed to drive sales all season long.

“CMI is entering the season in a strong position, with harvest a few days ahead of last year, and production increases across several key apple varieties,” said Rochelle Bohm, CMI’s vice-president of marketing.
“Fruit quality is excellent, sizing looks strong, and we expect to have plenty of premium Washington apples to share with consumers around the world.”
CMI offers a diverse apple portfolio, providing customers with a wide range of conventional and organic varieties. CMI’s conventional apple production will increase 10.9 per cent for the 2026 harvest, Bohm reported, with organic apple production up 5.5 per cent.
“Notable conventional production increases include SugarBee (up 52.3 per cent), plus about 20-25 per cent growth on CMI’s core strongholds; Gala, Granny and Red Delicious,” Bohm shared.
“On the organic side, CMI continues to invest in premium organic offerings including organic Honeycrisp (up 15.7 per cent), organic Cosmic Crisp ( up 33.9 per cent) and organic Gala (up 17.8 per cent). We’re also beginning to ramp up production of organic SugarBee, though significant volume won’t be available until next year or so.”
To help retailers maximize sales and shopper engagement, CMI offers a variety of proven marketing programmes and brand platforms, including Daisy Girl Organics, CMI’s flagship organic programme, and its Crunchie Munchies organic apples for kids.
CMI’s American Dream supports veteran-focused organisations and features special America 250 packaging opportunities this year, while its Hero programme supplies conventional kid-friendly apples.
CMI also shares Flavogram, its flavour discovery tool and Apple Crush, its interactive, digital apple match tool help support in-store promotions.
“Our tools are designed to help you sell more, so don’t leave dollars on the table. Work with our team to customise in-store promotions that push apples into more shopping carts this season,” said Bohm.
“We have programmes to attract parents shopping for school snacks, patriotic promotions, and interactive tools to target Millennial and Gen Z shoppers. We’re looking forward to partnering with our customers to deliver engaging promotions and exceptional apples throughout the year.”
