New port cuts transit times, guaranteeing fresher arrivals to the Asian market
Fruitist (formerly Agrovision) has completed its first shipment of Peruvian blueberries for the 2025/26 season to China through the new Port of Chancay.
The company said shipping from the Chancay terminal not only reduces transit times but also guarantees fresher, higher-quality fruit for the Asian market.
It held an event in Shanghai to celebrate the arrival of the container with strategic allies and Peruvian authorities.
“This is our first shipment from Peru to China (this season); it’s a wonderful job by Agrovision Perú,” said Alejandro Sanhueza, director of sales and operations planning at Fruitist, adding that the blueberries had been completely sold after arriving in the Asian market.
Fruitist joins agro-exporters such as Hortifrut and Camposol, among others, which already operate through the maritime terminal at the Port of Chancay.
