Kuehne + Nagel has opened its second contract logistics facility in Hong Kong to meet the growing demand for quality warehousing and distribution services in the area. With the additional warehousing space of 7,000m2, Kuehne + Nagel now has a total of 32,000m2 under management in Hong Kong.

The new facility is located at the Hutchison Logistics Centre, adjacent to Kuehne + Nagel’s warehouse at Asia Terminals Limited and its container freight stations (CFS) in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong’s major logistics hub.

According to a company media release, the facility features 750 pallet positions, 2,000 shelf locations, a 1,900m2 stacking area and a multi-purpose inspection room, all supported by state of-the-art material handling equipment and warehouse management systems. Access to the facility is provided by 21 loading docks and the premises meet stringent security and safety requirements.

'Our logistics facilities are strategically connected with our CFS operations for seafreight and airfreight. Customers can thus benefit from streamlined integrated logistics activities and enhanced flexibility,' said Joerg Bull, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel Hong Kong, Macau and South China.
