The tasting event ran over four days in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, with more than 2,000 local consumers stopping by to taste Korean table grapes and pears.

The event was held in conjunction with the Korean grape and pear export associations and timed to coincide with the peak shipping season for Korean fruits as they his shelves across the US.

The US is one of the largest export markets for Korean agri-food products, and according to aT, the interest in Korean food is expanding beyond processed foods to fresh produce. The event was designed to inform local consumers about the differentiated quality of Korean fruits and to expand the local consumption base.

“At this event, we confirmed the high level of interest in the excellent taste and quality of Korean grapes and pears,” stated an aT director.

”We will continue to actively support the stable establishment of fresh produce in the U.S. market by expanding local distribution networks and strengthening consumer experience-based marketing.”
