Maersk Line has highlighted its appearance at Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong as an opportunity to meet people 'as passionate about fruits, vegetables and global trade' as the shipping giant.
As part of its presence at the event, which takes place at the Asia-World Expo on 7-9 September, Maersk Line will share its latest developments and innovations in refrigerated cargo technology including Remote Container Management (RCM) and its new fleet of refrigerated containers.
RCM lets Maersk Line monitor the temperature and humidity inside containers, enabling the group to handle alarms remotely and complete faster pre-trip inspections, among other advantages – the system is already implemented inside 270,000 Maersk Line reefer containers.
In addition, the group has added 30,000 brand-new reefer containers to its offering, delivered from China and Chile and equipped with 'all the latest technological advances', according to the group.
'We have listened to our customers and recognised the need to upgrade our reefer fleet,' explained Shereen Zarkani, global head of reefer management at Maersk Line. 'Our job is to enable you to deliver your promises in the exact condition they were intended to.
'When we pair our expertise and customer relationships with modern innovation, we really can make a difference in your supply chain,' she added.
