Danish shipping giant Maersk Line is to raise freight rates by 10-11 per cent on its Asia-Europe trade lanes from 1 November.
The move by the world's biggest container shipping group signals further recovery for the industry despite the ongoing global economic turbulence, Reuters reported.
Some analysts had been expecting a drop in freight rates following weak demand and an oversupply of vessels, Reuters said.
