Yusen Logistics will operate a weekly Less than Container Load (LCL) service between Hong Kong and Southampton as part of an expansion to its network.
The new service will offer a transit time of 24 days, while an LCL service between Shanghai and Southampton will also depart on a weekly basis, taking 30 days to complete.
Earlier this week, the company announced a dedicated LCL service from Paris to Tokyo, supported by a domestic distribution network service to all major inland destinations.
Yusen says demand for the movement of smaller cargo volumes had risen internationally.
