Kiwifruit marketer makes key appointment as part of long-term strategy to elevate company’s reputation to ‘world’s healthiest’ fruit brand
Zespri International has promoted Kok Hwee Ng to chief marketing officer from her current role as general manager, global marketing.
As reported by Campaign Asia, Ng will remain at the kiwifruit company’s sales and marketing hub, where she worked with former CMO Jiunn Shih.
Shih departed the group in July and subsequently took on a new role as global CMO at berry marketer Driscoll’s, where Zespri’s ex-CEO Dan Mathieson is now president of its Americas business.
Ng joined Zespri in 2017 and has played an instrumental role in many of its marketing initiatives, including a brand refresh and the development of its 2035 strategy.
“As chief marketing officer, my vision is to elevate Zespri to be the healthiest fruit brand in the world – an iconic brand that empowers our consumers, growers and people to thrive through natural nutrition,” Ng commented.
“Our brand is rooted in the land, nurtured by growers, and brought to life through the everyday choices of consumers around the world. That connection is powerful.
“My commitment is to build a brand that not only delivers exceptional taste and nutrition but also champions the well-being of communities. We will tell stories that inspire, innovate with purpose, and create value from orchard to table.”
