New Zealand kiwifruit marketer reportedly plans to reduce its workforce as part of a strategic restructuring to address changing market conditions
A report in the New Zealand Herald suggests kiwifruit marketer Zespri is to cut 65 jobs, as well as phasing out a further 70 posts when they come up for renewal.
In a statement, the company’s chief executive officer Jason Te Brake told the newspaper that the changes were a response to “evolving challenges and opportunities ahead”.
He added: “As we look to the future, it’s clear that continuing to deliver leading value to the industry will require a refreshed approach.”
