Aldi CEO unveils ‘genuine opportunity for ambitious British food and drink producers’ to take part in its Channel 4 TV series to find undiscovered suppliers
Aldi is searching for undiscovered British suppliers to take part in its Channel 4 series ’Aldi: The Next Big Seller’ and win a listing within the discounter’s core range.

Writing on LinkedIn, CEO Giles Hurley called it “a genuine opportunity for ambitious British food and drink producers”, who could get their products in front of millions of customers and across 1,080 Aldi stores.
With the series to be judged by TV presenter and broadcaster Anita Rani, Aldi chief commercial officer Julie Ashfield, and TV farmer Jimmy Doherty, applications to take part are now open.
“We’ve seen how transformational this can be – products like Flake Bake’s Jamaican Patties sold out within days of airing, and we’re proud to now stock them as part of our core range,” said Hurley.
“At its core, this series is about championing brilliant British suppliers and giving small businesses the platform they need to grow. I’m looking forward to seeing the innovation and passion this year’s applicants bring.
“If you’re a producer with a great product, I’d encourage you to apply,” he said.
