Winner of the Great British Bake Off 2016 Candice Brown has been named as the latest ambassador for the Love British Food campaign.
Brown, who is also a current contestant on ITV’s Dancing on Ice, joins other high-profile backers including chef Raymond Blanc, organic and beauty guru Liz Earle and deputy president of the NFU, Minette Batters.
She said: “I am a big supporter of buying British and supporting local producers so Co-op and Love British Food campaign are a natural fit for me. I look forward to working together this year to spread the #LoveBritishFood message.”
Founder of Love British Food and British Food Fortnight Alexia Robinson said: “I first met Candice in September 2017 and was blown away by her enthusiasm for British food and producers so it was a natural step to invite her to join our campaign. I’m very much looking forward to working with her in 2018.”
The Love British Food campaign culminates in British Food Fortnight, which this year runs from 22 Sept – 7 Oct 2018.
