Upgrade more than doubles the company’s daily drying capacity
Coir substrate solutions specialist Botanicoir has significantly expanded its production capabilities with an upgrade to its fully automated mechanical drier at its manufacturing facility.
The investment has more than doubled the company’s daily drying capacity, with the upgrade coming at an important time as global demand for high-quality coir substrate continues to rise rapidly.
The past two years have brought unusually long and heavy monsoon seasons, Botanicoir noted, which has created substantial challenges in drying substrate after washing and buffering.
The upgraded drying system is said to ensure uninterrupted production and timely deliveries to customers around the world, regardless of weather conditions.
In addition to increased capacity and delivery reliability, the upgraded drying facility takes product consistency to the next level, according to to the company. The advanced mechanical drier means more substrates can be structurally uniform, free from weeds, and uncontaminated by sand and other impurities – benefits that translate to superior performance for growers.
“Our investment in this advanced drying technology is about more than just increasing output, it’s about reliability and quality,” said Botanicoir founder Kalum Balasuriya. “With this system in place, we can confidently meet rising global demand while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.”
