Prize-winning Bramley apple entries are sought for the ninth annual Brammy Awards, ready for judging to commence on July 19.

The awards, run by the Bramley Apple Campaign, rewards food manufacturers, retailers, caterers and the food media for their support of Bramley during the year.

Two new categories have been included for the 2002 Brammys, these are Best Food Service and the Best Catering Organisation.

And the Best Innovative Bramley Product category has been split into sweet and savoury this year.

Winners can look forward to a special Brammy trophy and widespread publicity for their company and winning product.

Ian Mitchell, chairman for the campaign, said: 'The Brammy Awards are now well established in the industry and in response to the diversity of products we tasted last year, we have introduced more categories. At last year's awards we saw retailers, manufacturers and caterers had continued to demonstrate the versatility of Bramley as a premium, high–quality ingredient. We are looking forward to another challenging judging session at this year's Brammys.' Entry forms are available from Jo Buchan on: 020 7761 1719 or email: jo.buchan@nexuspr.com.

The closing date is July 12.
