Branston said it had received such an impressive response from its first full season sponsorship of both the men’s and women’s teams that it has not only extended its kit support, but has also sponsored the Legends Lounge by taking on naming rights for the prestigious area of the stadium.

Headquartered in the nearby village of Branston, the firm is based just six miles from Lincoln’s LNER Stadium and despite Branston’s national reach, its local roots are what inspired the partnership.

Simon Telfer, HR director at Branston, said: “Our partnership with Lincoln City Football Club has been hugely successful over the last season. As a business, we’ve had a great time getting involved and loved coming to watch matches, as well as it being a great way for local people to find out more about Branston and the opportunities we have to offer through the sponsorship.

“It’s been a fantastic opportunity to champion our local community and we’re looking forward to continuing to do so for the next two years and hopefully watching lots of positive results for the Imps in the process.

“Sponsoring the Legends Lounge was a natural progression of our support for the club. We’ve found throughout the season more and more employees are wanting tickets to the games and are going along with their friends and families. We’ve even had some young relatives of the team get to experience the mascot package, with great feedback.

“Having such a key area in the ground dedicated to the partnership will serve as another way to promote our core values of connecting to the community in a positive way.”

Adam Chantrey, head of commercial at the Imps, added: “It’s great to announce Branston as our new sponsor of the Legends Lounge. Since the refit last summer, the lounge has become one of the most popular areas of the stadium on matchdays.

“Branston enjoyed the lounge to entertain customers and staff across the season and will continue to do so as an extension of our ongoing partnership. We look forward to welcoming them to the lounge for the 2023/24 campaign.

“They are a fantastic local business, and we have built a great partnership based on aligned principles and encouraging strong community links. We look forward to welcoming their staff to the LNER Stadium across the new season.”
