Chiquita has launched a promotion offering the chance to win one of 100 football strips for children.

Pistol Marketing was commissioned to create a campaign to boost sales and build awareness of Chiquita bananas and the healthy benefits of eating the yellow fruit, particularly to children.

In order to enter the competition shoppers need to collect three stickers from Chiquita bananas as a proof of purchase. The competition is being run through leaflets and advertorials in TV Hits, Match and national newspapers.

To extend the football theme, Chiquita organised an outdoor event at the live Sky TV Leeds vs Liverpool match at Elland Road on October 19. Chiquita girls were handing out competition leaflets to all the fans and an advertorial was placed in the match programme. Chiquita also made its presence felt at the Leeds vs Hapoel Tel Aviv match on October 31, and the Leeds vs Everton match on November 3.
