Packaging specialist picked up four wins at the UK Packaging Awards 2025, including best new concept and a nod for COO Jo Ormrod as Woman of the Year

Coveris wins UK Packaging Company of the Year

Packaging manufacturer Coveris has won Packaging Company of the Year at the UK Packaging Awards 2025 for ”exceptional performance across every judging dimension”, including innovation, sustainability, investment and people. 

The company picked up four wins in total at the awards, including Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year and Best New Concept, as well as the overall winner, at a glitzy award ceremony held in London last week.

The UK Packaging Awards recognise outstanding achievements in packaging design, innovation, performance and sustainability.

Judges praised Coveris for its consistent achievements, noting: “Coveris has demonstrated exceptional performance across every judging dimension – innovation, sustainability, operational investment, and people.”

Coveris CEO Christian Kolarik, said: “To receive four awards, including Packaging Company of the Year, is a proud achievement and a clear recognition of the progress we’ve made across the Coveris Group.

Reflecting its focus on recyclable flexible film packaging, Coveris won Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year for its MonoFlexP PaperFeel pack developed for Lidl’s Butcher’s sausage range.

The Best New Concept Award was given for the company’s MonoFlex Thermoform PaperFeel, recyclable thermoforming packaging made from polyethylene, and replacing traditional mixed material laminates.

Chief operating officer, Jo Ormrod, was highly commended in the Woman of the Year category, following her 25-year career defined by “a people-first mindset, strong customer focus and a strategic approach that continues to drive growth and innovation across the business.”
