Free event will showcase new pumpkin, courgette and winter squash varieties
A series of pumpkin, courgette and winter squash variety trials will be held this summer, the Outdoor Cucurbit Growers Group (OCGG) has confirmed.
The trials will be held on Thursday 24 August at NIAB Park Farm, Histon near Cambridge. There will be a formal tour of courgette demo plots, together with the pumpkin and winter squash demo plots.
The free event will also feature variety and agronomy updates with networking opportunities with growers, agronomists and seed companies, with lunch available following the tour.
BASIS and NRoSO points will be available on the day, and after the technical event ends, an OCGG R&D meeting will take place for members.
