Baroness Brenda Dean: stepping down from CGMA role after seven years

Covent Garden Market Authority has begun the search for its new chairman.

Current chair Brenda Dean will step down from her post in September after serving two full terms.

After being appointed in 2005, her contract was then extended for three years in 2008 and then a further year in 2011.

An NCGA statement read: “We have kept Brenda on so she could see through the successful redevelopment of the market to its completion.

“We are now waiting to see who DEFRA decides to appoint next in what will be an exciting new chapter for the market.”
