Disney's floral appeal

Dutch supplier Springflower has teamed up with entertainment giant Disney for a new concept in flowers.

The company has signed a licensing deal with Disney to launch branded flower products onto the UK market.

From single roses themed with Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella - launched to conincide with Valentine’s Day - to bouquets, which will be available from March.

The flowers are aimed at people between the ages of 25 and 45 who have children, said Ewoud Meeuwissen, marketing assistant with Springflower. The bouquets will feature small plastic toys attached, for children to collect.

“There have been many requests, people like it. They like Disney and they like the brand. We think UK consumers are more open to branded produce,” said Meeuwissen.
