Enza is reported to have secured a supply deal with a consortium of growers to the tune of 2.2million cartons for the new season. According to reports in NZ daily The Dominion, Nelson Apples has agreed to sell its apples and pears to Enza over the 2002 season. Enza md Michael Dossor is reported to be 'delighted' that the Nelson growers are on board. It is the largest export supply arrangement settled by Enza since deregulation came into effect last month.

Many of the growers in the consortium, which links three grower groups, are Enza shareholders, said the report in The Dominion. Enza is reported to have secured a total of 4million cartons of fruit from the Nelson region for next season.
