The new range is on sale in Asda

A new addition to the Good Natured range has been unveiled this week, with Good Natured Living Herbs on sale in Asda.

The pesticide residue-free range is grown in Lincolnshire all year round by producer Lincolnshire Herbs and features three lines: Razzle Dazzle Basil, Currylicious Coriander and Fantastic Flat Leaf Parsley.

Good Natured herbs are presented in fully biodegradable pots and sleeves. In the right conditions, the plants can last for several weeks.

Lochy Porter, managing director of Good Natured, said: “Good Natured has been very well received in the fruit and vegetable sectors, so it made sense to see if we could apply the unique production techniques to herbs. The launch of Good Natured Living Herbs will enable us to continue to drive incremental expansion in this market. We’ve started with basil, flat leaf parsley and coriander, as our research showed that these are the most popular among consumers wishing to add fresh flavour to home cooking. With Good Natured, we’re meeting demand for healthy, fresh produce at a fair price.”

Within the fresh herbs sector, living herbs account for just over a third of sales and volume, according to Kantar Worldpanel data for 2009.

Grower Patrick Bastow, md of Lincolnshire Herbs, said: “We are always looking to expand our customer base and our arrangement with Good Natured is a hugely exciting opportunity which will enable us to realise this ambition.”
