G's Fresh has paid tribute to Albert Casbon, the former director of G's Marketing, who passed away on 4 August, aged 76.
Over a 38-year career at the Cambridgeshire-based vegetable grower, Casbon held many positions, including sales director, and was pivotal in selling the group’s produce into continental European markets in the early 1990s.
Respected throughout the fresh produce industry, Casbon was known for his attention to detail and 'enabled G's to become the business that it is today,' according to current CEO John Shropshire.
He said: “It was Albert’s total dedication to customer service that helped make G’s, and ultimately enabled it to, become the force that it is today. The young people we've employed over the years could not have hada better tutor and mentor.”
Casbon is survived by his second wife Brenda and his five children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
